Whenever I touch down in a new place the first thing I like to do is get outside and explore my surroundings on foot. Walking around aimlessly is the best way to get a sense of the culture and vibe around you. Not to mention a great way to curb that pesky jet lag.
Whilst it is not my first visiting sweet Paree this adventure sure has some pretty exciting points of difference. This time around I touched down to live in Paris! A long time dream, which is now a wonderful reality. Admittingly it is still sinking in that I am indeed now living in this magical city and I am so grateful to experience Paris through this newfound perspective.
A Parisian summer is indeed another new experience. Having previously experienced Paris during the thick of winter and a particularly rainy spring I didn't quite know what to expect. Despite having received mixed August reviews including: the possibility of endless rain and that everything would be closed (quite a few locals leave the city for a coastal vacation) Paris has been truly delightful during this time of year. Filled with dreamily long sun kissed days, which have been perfect for long strolls and picnics by the Seine. Particularly as the sun slowly goes to sleep and the city becomes even more lively.
