Strolling through the Jardin Majorelle was at the top of my list when visiting Marrakesh and oh boy it did not disappoint. A succulent lovers dream if I ever saw one with endless cute cactii of all shapes and sizes. Paired with the dreamy saturated blues and yellows of the incredible Villa Bou Saf, which Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé aptly renamed Villa Oasis. It's little wonder why Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé set up camp in this lush oasis in 1980, which oozes inspiration with every step and turn around the stunning grounds. I am so thankful that they had the vision to protect this stunning landmark (Jacques Majorelle's labour of love for forty years) from soulless development and restored the garden to the magic that it is today.
A tranquil change of pace from the bustling souks (if you visit before the lunch rush that is), which I could not recommend more for anyone visiting Marrakesh.
